Last week, Matt Taibbi on his website RACKET NEWS posted an in-depth article explaining a new government funded industry that should have every American enraged and concerned. Our government has a new Orwellian function, a censorship-industrial complex that is new to the American experience. Back during the early 2000s after the 09/11/01 terrorist attacks, the American people were exposed to the power of the military-industrial complex, ignoring the warning of Dwight Eisenhower over 40 years earlier, and went into multiple wars that the American people had no ability to stop. Than in 2020, the pharmaceutical-industrial complex reared its head after a virus that kills less than .01% of our population was released “accidentally” causing widespread economic chaos and cultural destruction leading to lockdowns that destroyed the education system and an epidemic of mental illness. The censorship industrial complex was exposed almost accidentally. Towards the end of 2021, Elon Musk bought Twitter. No matter how you feel about the Tesla and PayPal founder (And some of his decisions are highly questionable), his releasing of the “Twitter Files” has shown the American people two things.
So how did we get here? Well, one of the key factors that has been overlooked by a majority of the media is the presidency of Barack Obama. Looking past the historical aspects of his eight-year reign, Obama has had a much greater impact on the past six years of our lives than anyone could have previously thought. Obama changed the government. Before his election, the country was strongly divided among the corporations, elitists, and globalists on the best direction to take the United States into the future. The Obama presidency resolved this problem. Distracting us from the failed government policies and corporate greed that led to the Occupy Wall Street 99% movement that spun out of the 2007 Great Recession, a corporate movement was created to divide and isolate the population called “woke capitalism.” This helped to increase the public-private alignment of business and government which has descended our nation into a new political philosophy called corporatism (The proper definition of “Fascism”). Big Tech profits soared during the government issued lockdowns. After the vaccinations were created and made “mandatory” for some, Big Pharma made record pools of money. The direct impact of government policy was minting record profits for the biggest and most influential businesses while the average American citizen was helpless in stopping it. Hollywood, the Media (With Obama bringing the press in line by arresting a record number of journalists), Academia, and Big Tech all became the foundation of this new government-corporate propaganda engine. And now, we find ourselves living inside the United States of Business, One Nation Under the Dollar, committed to corporate profits at the expense of the American people. The above graph is complicated. But there is a couple of things to take away from this political/corporate/government/organizational alignment that actually exposes its inherent weakness and is likely the reason why decades of trying to create an authoritarian governmental system inside the United States has failed through the majority of the last Century. You will notice that most of these Academic Initiatives, Think Tanks, and Fact Checking Organizations are funded by the same people. Here are a select few of the organizations, foundations and businesses that are using their money and influence to help create these tools of oppression. It is a much shorter list than you would think. Craig Newmark – Founder of CRAIGSLIST and the non-profit CRAIG NEWMARK PHILANTHROPIES. The Rockefeller Foundation – One of the oldest foundations on the planet. The National Science Foundation The Ford Foundation Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation – Nothing more needs to be said about this. The Knight Foundation The Ad Council – An important propaganda part of this machine. Wikipedia – An open-source online encyclopedia that seems to issue facts about topics based on the underlying political narrative. The Annenberg Public Policy Center – A prime example of the money and influence that has been put onto academia to push the agenda these foundations want to promote. The Aspen Institute – Like Annenberg above, this is the best example of a Think Tank being flooded with money so the intellectuals behind the institute can create ideas on how to implement the goals of these foundations. Finally, Fact Checkers like the Trusted News Initiative out of the BBC are an important piece of this new industry. These Fact Checking Organizations manipulate factual information. The best example to date is the lies about the “effectiveness” of the COVID-19 vaccines. These fact checkers are the bulldogs of the internet attacking any information that runs counter to the narrative that they support. Finally, I want to mention three more key organizations to show once and for all how the Democrats and Republicans are only controlled oppositional parties that act as puppets for these politically motivated foundations, organizations, NGOs, and Think Tanks listed above. Democrats hate The Charles Koch Foundation. Yet, their money is very much involved in the censorship industrial complex. On the Republican side, they fixate on George Soros and his Open Society Foundation. Like the Kochs who lean conservative, Soros is an old left-wing authoritarian who gives his money to many of the same organizations as the Koch’s. More proof that God has a hilarious sense of humor. Finally, there is Pierre Omidyar and his OMIDYAR NETWORK. Omidyar is the founder of THE INTERCEPT, a news website that was founded to restore ethics and integrity to the journalism profession. Instead, it spiraled into a politically biased website that led to its founder Glenn Greenwald fleeing to Substack. Omidyar now puts most of his attention and money into fighting “disinformation” and bringing about “equity.” These are the people that we are up against. As you can see, this is not an unwinnable battle. If the American people can learn to take this threat to their rights seriously and stop allowing themselves to be divided up into politically opposed groups, this censorship industrial complex can disappear overnight. Taibbi and his staff deserve a ton of credit for bringing this to the world’s attention. So what are we going to do about it?

One of the biggest “shocks” in the media environment occurred ten days ago when Tucker Carlson was surprisingly fired from FOX NEWS despite having the largest cable news audience by an exponential amount. Upon the dismissal, the ratings for FOX NEWS due to boycotts and the fact that their programming is garbage has cratered. The Fox Corporation stock price has slid over 5% costing the company close to a billion dollars. This surprising action has left many confused viewers wondering, why would FOX and the Murdochs engage in an action that fundamentally impacts their bottom line? The problem with this question is that most people in our society continue to think about cause and effect from a financial perspective. While the lack of audience and the abandonment of advertising often explains most terminations (Looking at you Brian Stelter), the termination of Tucker Carlson does not fall into this category. Understanding this, the people of the United States have to ask themselves some uncomfortable questions. Why did Tucker get fired? In this post, I am going to analyze this question by examining my own experience in the media over the past 20 years. I am going to post and explain a few key articles in our recent history that may explain what happened, and finally, I will voice my opinion on what I believe happened.
My media career started back in early 2001 with Swank Audio Visuals (RIP). I also worked at KOCE-PBS in Orange County on the side before moving over to KESQ-ABC in Palm Springs in 2002. My Bachelor’s Degree in college was for Television and Film. Two years of training and making myself employable by working around the edges of Hollywood and gaining the experience necessary finally got me the full-time job I always had wanted. Like anyone starting a career, my mind was filled with delusions of grandeur. I was going to be the next Walter Cronkite or Seymour Hersh. It does not take any intelligent person very long to understand that this is likely never going to happen. You quickly realize a few things about television news. First, it works like a machine. Every part is interchangeable. News is constant and never-ending and the amount of information that flows into the pipeline is often overwhelming to analyze. Second, the information that reaches your news desk is much more controlled and filtered than I ever could have imagined. It did not take me long to start becoming suspicious. My suspicions were confirmed in 2002 and 2003 during the buildup to the Iraq War. Judith Miller Yellowcake in Niger Weapons of Mass Destruction All lies. All lies that got us into a ridiculous and pointless war. Were there voices speaking out about these lies? Absolutely. One of my favorite resources was www.antiwar.com and the late Justin Raimondo who was pointing out the political lies three days a week. Back then, there was actually an oppositional liberal media at websites like Huffington Post, radio stations like Air America, Michael Moore documentaries, and libertarian websites like www.lewrockwell.com. But, what was disturbing is that despite the contradictory information being provided by alternative media outlets, ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX all seemed to be marching in full lockstep with the politicians and military interests. Throwing in the large journalistic outlets like THE NEW YORK TIMES and THE WASHINGTON POST, it almost seemed like they wanted this war, damn the consequences. After leaving KESQ-ABC and moving over to DISH Network, I continued to monitor the media but on a much larger scale. At this job, thousands of domestic and international channels were at my disposal. This did not improve things. After a while, you begin to realize how repetitive so many of these newscasts are and how the same information seems to be discussed in every single one. Was I a conspiracy theorist? NOPE. No matter the market, the attractive individual posing as an unwitting propagandist spouted the same nonsense during every broadcast. This does not even include the undisclosed sponsored segments that a sharp eyed engineer could notice if he watched enough networks. These insidious news segments are not declared as “sponsored” and usually promote a product, a business, or is a public relations spot explaining something terrible that has happened to the business and how they are going to “improve their product/services” for the good of the country. During this period of time, the few remaining decent journalists we had left began revealing information about what was occurring inside the United States. Dana Priest’s TOP SECRET AMERICA is a must read/watch that explains the incredible growth of the government framed around the argument for “National Security.” (This mostly happened during the Bush/Cheney Years). Then, once the floodgates began to open up, you start to realize that it maybe even worse than you ever imagined. Not too long after this, Obama began his war on the media. To this day, all the presidents combined have not arrested as many journalists as the “Chosen One” had. Then, the censorship of content began. It started with the controversial Alex Jones and has only exploded from there. Digging even deeper, you start to find out more uncomfortable facts. Defense Contractors on Cable News Promoting War: YES CIA infiltrating every media organization and controlling the content: YES The recently released Twitter Files showing that the government requested and helped these social media platforms censor content that went against their narrative (CENSORSHIP INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX): YES The once oppositional liberal media establishment fully working as propagandists for the permanent government: YES (The Trump presidency led to this development). So knowing all this, how did Tucker survive as oppositional media voices were systematically being removed? Well, Tucker talked about all the important issues, events, and political decisions that impacted the American people while the mainstream media continued its fixation on Donald Trump, our brainless Hollywood celebrities, and Russia. Despite the fact that our leaders think we are morons, the American people swallowed this up and Tucker’s rating exploded exponentially. He talked to his viewers like they were free-thinking and complex individuals. Tucker succeeded because as an individual, he actually evolved as an individual from a pro-war neo-conservative during the Iraq War to a more conservative anti-war nationalist. Because he came out of the mainstream, this allowed him some breathing room. He was the only person that explained and understood why Donald Trump was popular, why the Ukraine War is corrupt, why the COVID-19 lockdowns and vaccines may not have worked as advertised, while also giving a voice to the alternative journalists that were kicked out of the mainstream during the Obama years by the liberal press. People like Glenn Greenwald, Ron Paul, Matt Taibbi, ex-Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard, RFK Jr., and many others who had been quarantined to the darkest corners of the internet. These crimes are the main reason for his dismissal. Because whether we want to believe it or not, there is a cabal of globalists that want to control the United States and a large portion of the world. Sacrificing a few billion dollars is nothing when it involves the decades long effort to control as much of humanity as they physically can. That is what really happened here. This is also why the loss of Tucker could be one of the most important things to happen in the journalism industry for the next couple of decades. Because the people in control are sending the American people a message. We control your content and there is nothing you can do about it. So what is the endgame here? To me, this is very simple. Every slide into authoritarianism by the entitled class inevitably fails. Our concern should be how long we are going to have to live under these authoritarian diktats. Since Biden took the oath of office in 2021, the amount of freedom that has been lost is immeasurable. With this radical and swift push into an unknown globalist economic and social system which awaits us around the corner, how many generations will it take for the American people to wake up and understand what is happening to them? That is the true tragedy here. The firing of Tucker Carlson means that the mainstream media has been captured. It is under the control of media organizations and corporations that do not have your best interests at heart. We have reached the authoritarian propaganda phase of the American experiment. The education system, the technological sector, our entertainment companies, and the pharmaceutical industrial complex are already there. Now, the mass media has joined them. May God have mercy on our souls! Starting the 4th season of BARRY on HBO MAX this past Sunday, I was reminded of the genius of one of our best character and supporting actors of the past 30 years. To give a little background, BARRY is a show about a hitman and ex-military soldier who tries to change his life by taking an acting class. The show is not one of my favorites but is completely watchable due to its bingeable 30-minute episodes and is loaded with memorable characters like Anthony Carrigan’s NoHo Hank and Henry Winkler’s Gene Cousineau. But one of the key supporting characters is Monroe Fuches, a sociopathic and manipulative handler who organizes hits for lead character Barry Berkman while engaging in a long-term schizophrenic relationship with him. Who else could inhabit this complicated character other than the indominable Stephen Root? According to IMDB, Stephen Root has been in 273 television shows, movies, and has voiced many different cartoon characters. Starting out mostly doing guest appearances on television shows like ROSEANNE and HOME IMPROVEMENT or having small parts in movies like BLACK RAIN, Stephen is the story of a person who worked his way to respectability. The first things I specifically remember him in was as Captain K’Vada in STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION covered in Klingon makeup. Another early performance was as the school counselor Gary Murray in BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. Working around the edges of Hollywood for years in bit parts, Root finally landed a part in a wonderful mid to late 90s TV show, NEWSRADIO, as Jimmy James, the often hilarious and ruthless owner of the radio station. With an ensemble cast loaded with talent (Phil Hartman, Dave Foley, Andy Dick, Joe Rogan, etc.), this show brought Root’s talents out into the spotlight. So why is it that an actor like Stephen Root who has never really been the lead actor in any film or television show come to my attention? There are three primary reasons for my adoration of him. First, Stephen Root can do almost any role. Do you need him to be a frightening cult leader? See THE EMPTY MAN. Due to an expressive and emotive face, he can be intense and hilarious within seconds of any scene. His character Gus Lacey in THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS is a great example of his intensity or playing the real-life corrupt Department of Justice middleman Gaston Means in the television show BOARDWALK EMPIRE with a perfect Carolina accent whose opinions greatly fluctuate depending on your money and influence. He can also tear at your heart while simultaneously being hilarious like he was with one of his most famous characters and present-day meme Milton from OFFICE SPACE. STEPHEN ROOT AS MILTON IN OFFICE SPACE Second, Stephen Root does every type of genre (Comedy, Mystery, Psychological, Historical, Drama) and every type of television show (Comedy, Thriller, Science Fiction). In fact going over his incredible IMDB profile, I have seen him in at least 70 different productions. He works with some of our best directors including memorable cameos with the Coen Brothers (In movies like OH BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU?, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, and THE LADYKILLERS). Director and creator Mike Judge has used him for some of his most famous and significant roles including the aforementioned Milton and as the voice of Bill Dauterive, the fat and depressed neighbor to Hank Hill during the 13 seasons of KING OF THE HILL on FOX. Kevin Smith has used his talent in RED STATE, JERSEY GIRL, and the recent animated reimagining of He-Man in MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: REVELATIONS. He even has had memorable comedy roles in Ben Stiller films like DODGEBALL: THE TRUE UNDERDOG STORY where his character Gordon becomes an unbeatable player when his rage is triggered. Third, when Root shows up in any production, it automatically brings a smile to my face. Despite the incredibly diverse number of characters he plays, there is still an aspect to his performances that makes him easily identifiable. He can mask and hide himself in any role but because it is Stephen Root, I still recognize the actor behind the character. Was I happy to see him appear in the awful BOOK OF BOBA FETT? Hell yes. His appearance as Bill Krogstad in CEDAR RAPIDS immediately brought that surprisingly solid movie some extra reputation points. Hearing him voice the corrupt and ruthless sperm whale Jeremiah Whitewhale in the brilliant BOJACK HORSEMAN allowed a one-note character to have much more depth than he probably deserved. There is just no way you can possibly hate Stephen Root. I hope that this short analysis will help you appreciate an actor who is never the lead character, but always a supporting one. A gentlemen who can improve almost any production just by showing up for a handful of minutes. And if you are not familiar with Stephen Root, just watch a movie or television show on your streaming services or inside a movie theater. It won’t take long until he pops up again. Stephen Root in OH BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU? There are a couple of personal updates that need to be given before diving headfirst into this topic.
First, I have come across some problems with publishing my book. Like always, I did lots of research on which self-publishing independent publisher to hire. The first publisher turned out to be an internet conman. In the publishing industry, there are lots of fraudulent websites, scam artists, and individuals willing to take advantage of a person’s artistic creation. Luckily, I figured out what was happening to me before submitting my manuscript and losing control over it. This mistake cost me 300 dollars. I moved onto another publisher back in December and as of April, they are SLLLOOOOWWWWLLLLLYYYY finishing the final round of copy editing. This has been incredibly frustrating, but I hope to get a professionally edited book in my hands soon that I can review and then release for publication. Second, I started a Twitter account back in February and was building up a nice contact list by following some of my favorite people online like Danny Elfman, Michael Malice, Glenn Greenwald, Tom Luongo, Matthew Stafford, etc. There was a part of me that took Elon Musk for his word regarding his passionate restoration of free speech on Twitter. Unfortunately, this “faith” turned out to be misguided mainly for two reasons. First, as the Twitter Files have shown, the US Government can impact the Twitter algorithm at its convenience. Meaning that Twitter has mutated into a fascist entity, a private company that operates under the control of the government. Twitter’s censorship is still active and ongoing throughout the world. Second, Elon Musk is a monopolist. Think about the three most famous companies he has created. They were ideas that had no particular competition at the moment of initiation (PayPal) and the other two require government subsidies or contracts (Space X and Tesla) to be profitable. Recently, Elon Musk decided to shadow ban all links on Twitter to Substack due to that platform’s new feature called Substack Notes which works in similar ways to the Blue Bird. The ban also prevented liking, replying, and retweeting anything from that platform. This has led to an online war between Matt Taibbi who has one of the most popular Substack’s called RACKET NEWS and Elon Musk who hired him to release the Twitter Files. This divorce led to Taibbi leaving the Twitter Files journalism project. To stand in support of the individual journalists on Substack who need Twitter and other social media platforms to feature their work since for many, this is their primary form of income, I deleted my Twitter account yesterday. This is the second time I have done this (I had a Twitter account from 2010-2014 but got bored and deleted it). I am done with this platform. Twitter can fuck off once and for all! So here is an updated list of what the Expert of Some does not use. The Facebook Family: (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) Amazon Google (YouTube): I use open-source replacements which can play YouTube videos without the ads or having to log in. TikTok Apple LinkedIn (Account is on pause and will likely be deleted soon) The only major tech company I am linked to is Microsoft due to my family’s requirement of Microsoft Office for work and school plus my own usage of the Xbox platform. Here are my current social media websites MeWe Locals & Rumble (Both owned by Rumble): Username - Mister Blasty Telegram: Username - @MisterBlasty Substack I wanted to use a couple of other platforms for promoting my upcoming book. But there weren’t many options that were appealing. I tried both writer and novel social media platforms GoodReads and WattPad but they just lacked the features I wanted. After investigating, I found a new platform called Counter Social started by a hacker called The Jester. Here is why I am going to remain on this website and start promoting my blog and novel there. First, they have no algorithms, no advertising, no tracking of any sort. The platform has more options available if you pay for a subscription. The content is also a wonderful check on many of the social media websites that I read. MeWe and Substack are more independent but loaded with individuals and groups of all political leanings that have been expelled from mainstream and social media for rejecting the US government’s narrative by telling the truth. The Rumble Family and Telegram are a little more conservative and libertarian. Counter Social is a proudly liberal website. I don’t want to find myself inside of a “bubble” so meeting new friends on this ideologically opposite website is my new form of self-promotion. The liberals here are still anti-war and have a certain amount of concern for human rights and the Constitution. My biggest problem so far is that their hatred for the “right” appears to have reached genocidal levels. I had this problem on Twitter constantly. Unfortunately, many of these people are filled with a frightening rage. In fighting the right wing, many of these individuals on Counter Social believe that they are fighting Hitler, Mao, and Stalin who now takes the form of the orange man Donald Trump. It is a bizarre delusion and misguided. Also, I find them much more intolerant of opinions they do not support than the individuals I talk with on conservative sites. They flat out reject anything that goes against what they believe. My fascination and interest in trying to understand this mindset is what keeps me on there. So if you want to try it out, please add: ExpertofSome to your friends’ list and we can dive into the craziness together. For now, I will remain with these five social media websites. My intention is to have a medium amount of success promoting my blog and book without using any of the trillion-dollar tech companies. I want to put my money where my mouth is. I am opposed to all forms of censorship, moderation of content, and propaganda. It is time to stop using the platforms that are promoting these ideals. Until next week! A couple of months back, I wrote a blog about the incredible things that have occurred over the past few years. That blog is here. Due to the length of that blog, my evaluation of COVID-19 and the events of the past three years got pushed to the sidelines. My illness which struck me in February forced me to delay this blog for over a month. But as events continue to escalate in urgency as time passes by, lots of interesting things have occurred on the geo-political scene that needs analysis. This blog will give a short summary on each of these events before digging into the main event, the COVID-19 lockdowns and mandates that have so corrupted and divided our society.
GOODBYE UNIPOLAR WORLD AND THE AMERICAN DOLLAR AS THE RESERVE CURRENCY. HELLO MULTIPOLAR WORLD AND BRICS! Do you remember the happiness you felt when the Berlin Wall fell? The unprecedented joy you felt that the most dangerous country in the world, the Soviet Union, had begun its irreversible decline. After Christmas Day 1991, the Soviet Union ceased to exist as the old hammer and sickle red flag of death was replaced by the Russian Republic’s Red, White, and Blue flag. The world seemed like it was moving on from a tremendous evil that had engulfed it since World War I. The world felt more positive and hopeful. There was even a famous song exploring the ecstasy and joy of these moments. We were, “Watching the world wake up from history.” But the destruction of the Soviet Union also gave the United States the chance to lead the world by example. After December 25, 1991, the world became unipolar influenced and economically run by the United States. For a decade of mostly peace (Minus the first Persian Gulf War in 1991 and the violent dissolution of Yugoslavia from 1991-1999), the 1990s felt refreshingly pleasant. Then, September 11, 2001, happened. The one part of the world that still preferred to not be part of the new unipolar world struck us in a tragic terrorist attack that killed almost 3000 people. They saw this as a revenge attack for two particular things: One – Our never-ending support for Israel and the endless supply of weapons that allowed them to confiscate Palestinian land and create a nightmarish police state over the Palestinian people. Two – Our invasion of their land with military bases and the establishment of authoritarian regimes through many Muslim countries in the Middle East and North Africa. Our foreign policy decisions and our new bullying attitude towards the world finally caused some brutal blowback. Not too long after this, the sociopaths took over inside the United States. Freedom started to fade domestically shortly after with the PATRIOT Act being the first of many successive authoritarian laws. The United States, in control of the global financial system, began sanctioning any country that operated outside the rules that it had established. This behavior has led to an inevitable backlash between two of the United States’s biggest rivals, a rejuvenated Russia and China. A few years back, they established the BRICS economic system (BRICS means Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa). The system ties each country’s currencies into a basket of commodities. The soon to be largest populated country in the world, India, quickly became the valuable third member. The fundamental reason for the creation of this alternate system was because of the belief that the United States enforcement of sanctions on anyone who disagreed with American policies on global issues was destabilizing and dividing the world. So, with this new multipolar world being established, are we winning the battle? Based on recent news, the answer is no. Here are a few countries already engaging in trade outside of the United States dollar. Mexico Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkey Malaysia This has all escalated rapidly in the past couple of weeks. As these countries start to unload their dollars, the money starts to flow back into the United States. Our leaders have been able to keep inflation under control for years due to two reasons: One – Being able to make consumer items outside the United States for cheap. Two – The dollar being the reserve currency meant that almost every country in the world had a significant reserve of them. Now that these countries are opting out, hyperinflation may very well be on the horizon. THE END OF THE AMERICAN EMPIRE After 32 years ruling the world economically with mixed results and establishing an empire 125 years ago after inheriting territory from the Spanish after the Spanish-American War, our own hubris and lack of empathy for other foreign nations mixed with the selfish influence of the globalists and the sociopaths they picked to rule over us, the amazing capitalistic and freedom loving American experiment appears to be coming to an end. Despite this, the collapse of an Empire does not necessarily lead to disaster. The collapse of the Soviet Union was mostly a positive experience for Russians after the brutal economic decline of the 1990s wore off. The fall of the 3rd Reich helped turn Germany into a peaceful and innovative global economic power. The fall of the Japanese Empire led that nation to become one of the leaders of the world in technology and engineering throughout the 20th Century. But the decline of empires can also lead to brutal authoritarian dictatorships. The fall of the Tsar led to Lenin and the even more brutal Soviet Union. The hyperinflationary events and the incompetence of the Weimar Republic led to the rise of Adolf Hitler. Our problem is that American culture has become significantly authoritarian, and it is on the rise throughout the world. One of the main problems is that we have never grappled with the aftermath or understood the rise of Adolf Hitler, the Soviet Union under Lenin and Stalin, or Chairman Mao of China without romanticizing them as cartoon characters to be mocked and scorned for their racism and genocidal natures. Using Hitler in entertainment as a one-off psycho does not help individuals understand why he existed and was elected in the first place. This is a failure not only of Hollywood but history teachers in general. The society that these individuals came out of were ripe for these authoritarian leaders to take control over. Blaming fascism on a political party is not diving into the root of why these regimes exist. The real culprit has always been the people and the culture of a specific era. If you lack responsibility for your actions, or push for impossible “equality”, or allow government to ban and control human behavior, the people running these institutions will take this power without hesitation. This is the mindset that needs to be fixed if we want to avoid our own authoritarian nightmare in the future. THE FIRST EXAMPLE OF PURE AUTHORITARIANISM IN THE UNITED STATES – THE COVID-19 LOCKDOWNS, MASK MANDATES, AND mRNA SHOTS One of the things that Alexander Solzhenitsyn in his famous book THE GULAG ARCHIPELAGO did was prove how authoritarian the Soviet Union was. The “truth” was whatever the Communist government told you that it was. Anyone who thought outside of this “truth” was quickly labeled as ‘mentally ill.” The other aspect which can not be emphasized enough is that the Soviet people turned on each other and would often rat or report their neighbors to the authorities for seemingly innocent thoughts. If arrested, trials were already decided against your interests. The criminal had to accept the charges against them and confess their crimes to have a chance of escaping the Soviet Industrial Prison Complex. This always seemed incredible to me. How could a civilization slide into this de facto type of authoritarianism? How could the Russians have been this stupid? After the second week of March 2020, I no longer ask myself this question. Because our society has proven to be no more evolved than the average scared Soviet citizen in the 1930s. Here is a brief rundown of some recent facts. The United States has a “Censorship Industrial” Complex that has taken over social and the legacy media. Like the Soviets, any information that falls outside the government narrative is becoming increasingly blacklisted and removed from the internet. This whole new government agency came into existence because of COVID-19. Masks are effective in stopping the spread of COVID-19 If you questioned this during the height of the masking fiasco, you were likely blacklisted or removed from YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, or any other large technology company. It was a lie promoted by our public health officials based on no actual evidence. This lie became so ridiculous, that even mainstream news organizations discuss the disaster that was mask mandates (After fighting these facts for two years), I still see people walking down the street by themselves wearing a mask. The fear created and the persistent lying continues to have an impact on a certain segment of the population. The mRNA Shots will end the pandemic. The shots are “safe and effective.” The shots must be mandated. This topic is the one issue that led to more censorship and ruined more lives than any other. Many individuals lost their careers by not going along with this narrative. Many naïve people died taking these dangerous biological agents posing as vaccines. This censorship is still very much present. Here is a search for “mRNA vaccine dangers” on DuckDuckGo. It will link to a few websites including the CDC explaining the confirmed side effects. But these articles downplay the impact and continue to enforce the idea that these shots are necessary for the fight against COVID-19. Natural immunity is not as effective as COVID-19 immunity Another lie supported by our government and tech companies to help benefit Pfizer. While not 100%, natural immunity and recovery from COVID-19 lasts much longer than the Covid-19 vaccine per multiple scientific studies. Finally, Lockdowns will stop the spread in two weeks. Online teaching will keep your kids educated. The damage that has been done to this country is immeasurable. All because a few pharmaceutical companies, the tech companies that supported this propaganda, and our government were only interested in their own bottom lines and the accumulation of power over the goodwill of the people. This leads to the inevitable and obvious question that we need to ask ourselves as Americans. “With a new censorship industrial complex thriving and awash in taxpayer dollars (Doing research for this article was very difficult as the ‘preferred’ stories that the government wants me to see still are dominant with every type of search), how can we be sure that this won’t happen again? Our government has already shown that it can lock our society down. And like many of the scared Soviets, shaming people online or calling for their death or financial ruin was probably the most distressing aspect of the COVID mania of 2020-2023. What have we become? Why are we so divided? Because at this present moment, the United States is heading towards a dark place. Let’s hope we survive it with minimal damage to our society. It is unusual for me to not write something for an entire month. My last blog on the dumpster fire that was the Academy Award nominations was a turning point of my 2023. After that date, a lot of things happened. Here is a quick summary:
Went to Houston via Oklahoma City for some real estate shopping. Went skiing at Lee Canyon outside Las Vegas. Saw an AHL minor league hockey game in Palm Desert (Coachella Valley Firebirds) and an NLL Lacrosse game (San Diego Seals) in San Diego. It has been a busy month. But it got more complicated just before my trip to Houston. I have been very healthy through most of my life. I never really had an issue with drugs or alcohol. I can change my diet immediately due to my self-discipline. Besides my three to five times a week Diet Coke or eating at a few too many fast-food joints during the week (Usually two or three), I live a pretty healthy life. In late February, I got up in the middle of the night coughing up blood. My family rushed me to the hospital where I was diagnosed with an ulcer. This completely changed my mindset overnight. All my little vices, Wine Tasting Whisky Carbonated Soda Spicy Foods , were gone in a second. Despite my diagnosis, I still participated in all the social events mentioned above. But I also don’t want to bore you with the details of my social activities over the past couple of weeks. The details the medication given to me for ulcer treatment is a much more interesting blog to write. After diagnosis, I was given two medications: Protonix (Pfizer), a proton pump inhibitor, and Sucralfate, a medication that coats and protects the stomach lining (Ulcer) during food digestion. On my first evening of taking Protonix AKA Pantoprazole, I got all the side effects but none of the benefits. Without getting into too disgusting of a description, the medication was in my trash within 12 hours. A quick note: I FUCKING HATE PFIZER. Their bullshit COVID-19 shots don’t work so why did I think their copyrighted ulcer medication would? I did some research and settled on Nexium. Both Nexium and Prilosec are proton pump inhibitors, but the former seemed to have the best score with the least amount of side effects. So I began taking it. As I got better, the side effects of the Nexium started kicking in after two weeks. Some fun things like headaches, diarrhea, and muscle aches in random places around my body. I decided to lower my dosage and get off the medication while continuing to use the Sucralfate, the only medication I took that had no discernable impact on me. Writing this blog, I am on my way to recovery. But, the medication also makes you susceptible to bacterial infections. So I am fighting a nasal infection for the past two weeks that just won’t go away. But in terms of my stomach problems, my body is on the mend. Here is the point I want to make. If I had done a little more research, I could have probably healed my ulcer on my own with a proper diet, exercise, and rest. The medication really tore my body up. Sitting up late at night shaking with chills and getting piercing migraine headaches was not worth whatever the positives of the medication happened to be. I feel like my life was shortened between six months to a year while I was fighting this ulcer with modern day medication. I later found out that H2 blockers like Pepcid caused me an allergic reaction after stopping the proton pump inhibitors. So these were just as dangerous. The only thing that actually gave me temporary relief turned out to be the antacid Pepto Bismol which has been consistently working for dozens of years with millions of people around the world taking that pink goop after a bad pizza. But here is my main point. The American people need to start doing something about these pharmaceutical companies. Historically, the chemists and pharmacists besides coming up with “Snake Oil” type cures were always looking for a way to heal illness. In the 1950s, Jonas Salk invented the polio vaccine which basically wiped the disease off the face of the Earth. The amount of innovation that occurred in the medicine field over the past 100 years is mind-blowing. The global population has exploded and there is a generic medication that works wonders on illnesses in every country. Antibiotics have been one of the most amazing discoveries of our time. But over time and as these companies gained power, it feels like everything that has been invented over the past 40 years is different. The medications seem to resolve the current ailment that you have but it helps to create another one through the medication’s side effects profile. These companies do not seem like they are interested in curing you of any disease. They are only interested in turning you into a permanent customer until the Grim Reaper finally comes calling. I will not make this mistake with these medications again. My last bit of advice. If any of my readers comes down with a medical condition or illness, do your homework on everything that the medical doctor prescribes for you. Like investing, we have reached an era where the professionals in charge can not be trusted. They maybe compromised by money, industry pressure, or government regulation. I do not want to say that they are always wrong. Many doctors are concerned about their patients and generally wish for them to get better. But these medications have gotten so complicated and the information regarding them online is so muddled, that it is very possible that they are unaware of the dangers of these medications. It is up to you to protect your life in the best way that you can. Until next week! Over the years, you have probably noticed a cynicism from me about the film industry. It is the only media art form which I am defensive about. Even though the industry is not producing movies as well received as the eras of the late 60s/late 70s or mid 90s/mid 2000s, I was always hoping for a creative rebound. Well if 2022 is any indication, films are going to continue their decline for the foreseeable future. For this analysis, I will discuss three factors that have led to this decline. After that short summary, I will go over each movie one at a time. For me, many of these films are not necessarily bad. They are even solid and enjoyable. But when you talk about a Best Picture movie, these films except for one honest exception based on my personal standards of quality do not meet this description.
Not wanting to dive into the complexities of the problems surrounding the industry, there are three significant factors that have noticeably changed which have impacted the industry for the negative. NUMBER 1: END THE POLITICAL INDOCTRINATION AND “WOKENESS’ IDEOLOGY Remember when Hollywood made films that left you reeling with their powerful messages whether it involved identity, politics, or systemic discrimination? The dark message and themes of APOCALYPSE NOW. The incredible upbringing of Loretta Lynn in the COAL MINER’S DAUGHTER. Or the futuristic prediction and omnipotence of a movie like NETWORK which seems to have successfully predicted the current state of our news media 40 years early. Yeah, I do. Hollywood still tries to make political movies, but they never create the emotional attachment that many of these 20th Century films did. Inspirational movies all seem to be made with the same formula. Good luck looking for a film that challenges American foreign policy or shows government corruption. Those days are over. Now, any movie involving a controversial topic feels like it was made with a filter. A popular film can bring about political change. They can make you aware of the terror at your doorstep. Yet, Hollywood has lost the ability to bring about this inspiration. The reason it happened in the first place is because studios trusted creators and producers with their passions which helped lead to these unforgettable films. Oliver Stone is probably Example A for this type of filmmaking. Would PLATOON be a classic film without his own personal experience inside Vietnam? In addition, the Oscar quota system is also a factor in this decline. Instead of focusing on the quality of the work, too much effort is being put into creating a socially acceptable system. When the system is the priority over the creative work, the quality of the art is going to decline. NUMBER 2: MOVIES ARE TOO LONG According to Statista, films have increased in length pretty significantly. In 1990, the top 10 highest grossing films averaged 1 hour and 51 minutes. In 2021, this average increased to 2 hours and 10 minutes. Can you realistically admit this extra 19 minutes has been beneficial for the industry? Many of these movies feel bloated and over long with scenes included that should have been edited out. Despite this extra time, the movie’s plots seem even more scattered and less focused than the tightly edited era that preceded it. So films are almost 20 minutes longer with stories that feel more chaotic and lack direction. The 2022 Best Picture films definitely are Example A of this particular problem. NUMBER 3: BREAK UP THE MONOPOLIES Other than A24, how many independent film studios have made incredible films over the last decade? Most of these studios are usually wholly owned subsidiaries of the large studios. When the studios started snatching these independent studios up in the late 20th/early 21st Century, they were at the apex of their creative output. Now, these studios just feel like another arm of the mass media. This is why we have not had the revolution of a new generation of filmmaking voices (Millennial and Gen Z except for a handful of exceptions) because there is no system in place to bring this talent out of the darkness. Many of these unknown talents end up making solid short films on YouTube or release them online on a personal website. This is going to lead to stagnation as the same well-known individuals make the same type of movies. This stagnation is a primary reasons why 2022 is going to be one of the worst years for Hollywood from a financial perspective. NOW FOR THE FILMS! Here are the Best Picture nominees. Before beginning, I want to discuss two specific films. I have not seen Spielberg’s latest spectacle THE FABLEMANS or Sarah Polley’s WOMEN TALKING. Out of fairness for these films, I have excluded them from this analysis. There is a part of me that thinks THE FABLEMANS will be my favorite of these ten films. When I watch both these movies, this post will be updated. TRIANGLE OF SADNESS I am still in a state of shock about how this film got nominated. It is a mediocre film at best. The film analyzes power dynamics and how people often slip into their identities when put into a position of survival. In this film’s case, the power dynamics flip in the 3rd act. Whatever this film’s message was trying to convey, the film is sloppy. It feels like it was written in segments that the screenwriter returned to every other year. Of these ten films, this is the one I would recommend skipping. AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER Many film lovers have always felt rightfully upset that incredible big budget action films (Like the DARK KNIGHT) did not get Academy Awards nominations for Best Picture. Now that more films get nominated, this problem has not recurred as much. But giving a nomination to the AVATAR sequel seems like a stretch. Is it a good and enjoyable movie? Yes, even if it is too long. Does it feel very similar to the first film? Absolutely. It is made with the incredible level of detail that James Cameron is known for. So why did it leave me feeling empty? Why did the story feel like a retread? It left me with more questions than answers. This is not a great film other than from a technological perspective. ELVIS I really did not like this film. I think Austin Butler nailed his performance as Elvis Presley. I also think Tom Hanks was awful as Colonel Tom Parker. The movie was 30 minutes too long and often skipped very significant moments of Elvis’s career despite its length. I wanted to like this movie. I have always like Baz Luhrmann. But this film had no soul. It felt empty and not the dedication to this once in a lifetime talent that it should have been. TAR I do like this movie. Cate Blanchett (Unless Michelle Yeoh pulls the upset) has given the best performance of the year. This film is a hardcore character study of passion, talent and intellect about a composer and her life that begins to unravel for unknown reasons. The movie makes some great points about our present-day culture. It has some wonderful Easter Eggs in scene which make the film better. Despite this, it mostly bored the hell out of me. I found myself wandering off on multiple occasions and forcing myself into a rewind to watch parts I missed. I even watched the film again to see if my mindset was not in the right place during my initial viewing. It happened again on my second watch. I can only recommend this to see the greatest actress of our era perform at the top of her game. But as a whole, the film is boring through large sections and somewhat disappointing. THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN This movie is very Irish. I found it enjoyable. I watched it with a smile on my face from beginning to end. But the film left me wanting much more. Who is this film for? Why would the character resort to such desperate tactics to remove an individual from his life? The film was very cruel and “Irish”. Also, this film is absolutely not for everyone. In fact, I think only a small majority of people will ever enjoy it. EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE It is hard to root against this movie. It is such a good time. Michelle Yeoh has been one of my favorite actresses for decades. This film is the comeback for the actor that played Short Round in INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM. The movie is a story about the dynamics surrounding an Asian family. My problem with this movie was on the creative side. I enjoyed the idea behind the movie. Or what needed to be accomplished to jump through the multiverse. The movie failed for me during its late second half and conclusion. The jokes got repetitive, and the film jumped the shark. It just became too ridiculous despite the powerful message at its core. This falls into my most overrated film of the year. TOP GUN: MAVERICK This is my favorite film of the year without question. Is it flawed? Hell yes. What country could make “fifth generation” fighters that are better than the United States without our country likely providing them? Thinking about the story for two seconds will take you out of the experience. But unlike the above movies where the story was the key to the experience, this film does not suffer this burden. TOP GUN: MAVERICK is an experience. It is also a highly enjoyable one. The film knows what lane it picked and it settled inside perfectly. Never try to be more than what you are. This film takes that premise and runs with it. ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT Finally a German adaptation to one of the best anti-war novels of all-time. An adaptation of this book has already won Best Picture all the way back in 1930. A highly regarded TV film was also made in the late 70s that was also very good. This film is my second favorite of the year. It is more dedicated to the book than any of the previous versions. My biggest issue is that like 99% of the people who have seen it, the movie is exclusive to Netflix. This movie would have been much better if it was able to be experienced on the big screen. Despite this, it is almost a perfect film. So there you go. Ten films nominated, only two worthy of that nomination (With my notable exceptions included above). There have been years where I often dislike or am unimpressed with a chunk of the Best Picture nominees. But never at a percentage like this year. If 2022 is the image of what Hollywood has in store for us (And keep in mind that TOP GUN: MAVERICK was made last decade when our culture was a little different), than the future is indeed bleak. I recently watched the latest MARVEL extravaganza, BLACK PANTHER 2: WAKANDA FOREVER. My expectations for this film were non-existent. Marvel films and many of the Disney Plus TV shows have been disappointing. The films seem to be trying to regain the luster that was lost after Thanos was thwarted in the process of trying to implement the WEF/United Nations Agenda of depopulation. Other than the nostalgic impact brought about by SPIDERMAN: NO WAY HOME, the quality of the films during Stage 4 have been mostly mediocre. So going into watching the latest BLACK PANTHER movie, I prepared for the worst. So after completing this over 160-minute marathon, let me tell you what I think. BLACK PANTHER 2: WAKANDA FOREVER is one of my favorite Marvel films.
Before diving into this evaluation, I have to make two key points. First, I was not a fan of the first BLACK PANTHER film. Despite being told that it was the first movie to reflect African culture, it felt more like a bastardized Hollywood version of it. The movie had an interesting premise and the villain, Killmonger played by Michael B. Jordan, was a complex and fascinating character. But despite getting a Best Picture nomination (Which the second BLACK PANTHER movie actually deserves), the film was flawed. Unlike many of the elitists writing about this film and the revolutionaries on Reddit using the film as an example for a future rebellion, the villain was a terribly flawed character because the basis of his motivation was revenge. It made the Wakandans sympathetic because their philosophy on how to evolve the world was through technology and education, not force. Hence Killmonger dying at the end was a fitting resolution for that character. Besides this, the movie also had a terrible final section that ruined anything good that occurred during its initial two-thirds. Second, you have to accept the universe that was created by Disney and Marvel for these films. Killmonger believed that black people were being repressed and forced into second class citizenship. This led to his motivation for violence to “balance’ the scales. For most of history, I would agree with aspects of this thought. But you would also have to overlook the slavery that non-whites force onto their own populations inside their own countries. In the present day, it is much harder to make this argument in the United States. So understanding that Disney has created a universe with an advanced culture leading the world from Africa and all of world history is about oppressing minorities is the creative jump that needs to be taken to embrace the ideas of the film. In actuality, most of human history is about conquest. Every culture on this planet on every continent fought wars and created empires. The first few thousand years of human history was various different groups of people fighting over land and conquering different tribes of individuals. During the heyday of the British Empire, conquest was replaced by colonization. Canada and the United States started out as colonies of the British. There are examples of this throughout modern-day history. So understanding that the ideas behind the BLACK PANTHER universe are as fictional as the ideas behind the ongoing and real “woke” revolution is important before taking the leap into those films. SPOILERS: IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE, STOP HERE. BLACK PANTHER 2 starts with the Wakandans mourning T’Challa. As everyone knows, Chadwick Boseman, who played the character in four films, died at 43 years old in 2020 from colon cancer. The movie pays him a wonderful tribute during the opening funeral scene. In all honesty, I was not sure what direction they were going to take this film after this emotional opening scene. But the film ends up having a deep, vibrant story that puts the ideas from the first film into the dustbin of history. Due to the Americans’ curiosity about the element vibranium that is the key to the technological advances of Wakanda, they find an outcropping of the mineral in the middle of the ocean. After trying to obtain the mineral, the Americans are attacked and killed by a race of blue people that depend on the vibranium for their own culture. No, these are not extras from the latest AVATAR movie. This is a thriving civilization named the Talokan that has evolved from the Mayan civilizations of the 15th and 16th centuries. This is a wonderful beginning but is not even close to being the best part of the film. The leader of the Talokan, Namor (Played by the wonderful Tenoch Huerta), approaches Queen Ramonda about the American’s interference with their source of energy. This opening leads to probably the best middle section of a Marvel film ever. Before going on, I want to make this observation. Our present-day United States is an empire. So understanding again that this film is a work of fiction, if a country like Wakanda existed which surpassed the United States technologically, our country would likely be on a war footing with it. The actions of the United States trying to clandestinely capture some vibranium is a very accurate description of a policy that we would practice. The one thing that is unbelievable is that if an American vessel was attacked and our citizens were killed (And the Americans blamed the attack on Wakanda), our country would be at war with them. The dovish response by our intelligence services does not make sense in comparison to the reality of the nation in which we live. So this leads directly into my main analysis of this film. THE VILLAIN NAMOR IS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING. Plus, Wakanda’s own actions against him is a pre-cursor to a tragedy that they deserve. After capturing Shuri, Namor explains to her the details of how a tribe of Mayans ended up living deep underwater in the ocean (HINT: It has to do with the vibranium they discover). His hostility towards the surface world is enforced when after his people come back onto the land to bury his mother, they are witnesses to the Spanish conquistador’s oppression of the Native Tribes of Central and South America during the 17th Century. Namor gets his revenge and wipes out the plantation but also makes a vow to his people that they will live in peace underwater separately from the humans on the surface. But once this vow of neutrality is broken, he would declare war on the surface world. So why would this philosophy lead to his antagonism towards Wakanda? First, Namor blames Wakanda for making the world aware of their technological paradise and the innovations it has created with vibranium which would naturally lead other countries to seek out solutions to obtain the mineral and balance the geo-political scales. This led to the discovery of vibranium in the ocean which violated the peace that the Talokans were trying to maintain. Second, after Shuri is captured, Queen Ramonda sends Nakia underwater to free her daughter and the MIT scientist from Namor’s captivity. At this point in the story, the two sides were still peaceful. During the captivity, Namor exposed Shuri to the culture that was thriving in his underwater paradise for the past 500 years. This clandestine action leads to two dead Talokan soldiers which leads to Namor swearing revenge against Wakanda. This leads to their attack on Wakanda where a good portion of the city is wiped out in a mass casualty event and Namor, who swore revenge against Queen Ramonda, ends up killing her. Every single one of his actions makes complete sense when contemplating human behavior and our psychologies when we feel under threat of attack. After this, the movie evolves into a full-scale battle film and a new Black Panther comes into existence. At the end when the Wakandans inevitably win, Namor makes a political decision with his life on the line that makes total sense and is consistent with the ideals that he has promoted throughout the movie. So as you can tell, this movie really caught me off guard with its intelligent storytelling and incredible character and world building. I highly recommend this movie. And if your kids want to learn more, teach them about the history of South America. Until next week when I publish the last section of my “conspiracy theory” posts. Nicole Kidman on Stanley Kubrick back in 2019. “Stanley told me the world is run by pedophiles,” Nicole Kidman said while promoting HBO’s Big Little Lies, in Los Angeles. “He studied secret societies his whole life, he was fascinated by them, and he said the elite, the top secret societies, they are full of men with a certain predilection. They are tied together, sort of bonded, by pedophilia. “They all know each other’s dark secrets. There is no way out for any of them. It’s a lifetime bond. Even if one of them wanted to go straight, repent, so to speak, he can’t. His peers will bring him down. They are in it until death, driving the world to ruin. That’s kind of how Stanley explained it but it was all very complex. I’m probably not doing it justice.” I recently re-watched EYES WIDE SHUT. As an older and more intelligent, wiser individual, the movie's clarity impacted me more than it did when it was originally released in 1999. The movie has gained a following on Reddit among conspiracy theorists worldwide when it was discovered that over 20 minutes of the film was removed after Kubrick passed away. Plus, there have been questions about whether Kubrick was actually murdered for getting too close to revealing the truth about secret societies. But looking at that quote above and finding out that a person named Jeffrey Epstein would be arrested and exposed many years later, does that quote spoken by Kidman seem all that shocking anymore? Now, watch this Alex Jones clip from 2002. Sure sounds like he got some of these predictions right (Cashless society, Open Borders, Centralizing Health Care, Releasing Diseases and Viruses, Depopulation). Let’s look at these predictions about what Jones believes is being set up for humanity. Cashless society/CBDCs: Check Open Borders: Check Universal Health Care: Check Released Virus: Check Depopulation: Possible but Often Discussed by “Elites” and the UNITED NATIONS So why do I bring this up? As someone recently told me, “I NEED NEW CONSPIRACY THEORIES BECAUSE ALL MY OLD ONES HAVE COME TRUE.” But even using this term “conspiracy theorist” is questionable. Because if you believe the researchers featured in Ron Unz’s article, “conspiracy theorist” was a term created by our own intelligence agencies as one of many possible solutions of discrediting any individual who questions the government’s narrative. So keeping this in mind, this blog (Broken into two sections) will feature three things that seem so unbelievable, that most people would think they were conspiracy theories. But all three of these topics have been proven true (Or at least factual even if the underlying motive is unknown). The first will revolve around a recent Twitter Files release and an organization called Hamilton 68. The existence of this organization and what it accomplished is so incredible, it actually feels like bullshit. But internal emails and private conversations prove that everything this organization did actually happened. The second will be a Tucker Carlson segment about the egg shortages. Right-wing websites have been broadcasting the inevitability of food shortages since the COVID-19 lockdowns hit. Other than the occasional item going out of stock, this prediction seemed a little over-reactionary. Then, 2021/2022 happened and a rash of devastating fires has wiped out food processing plants all over the country. There have been so many in one year, it is hard to call the discussion around this topic a ‘conspiracy.’ Plus, a new bird flu conveniently emerges leading to the culling and slaughter of millions of chickens. So what is going on here? Finally, is it time for us to have a global debate about COVID-19? Many articles are starting to appear in the mainstream media about the mistakes made by public health officials and governments concerning masking, lockdowns, and mandates. If there is justice in the world, a new Nuremberg type trial will be initiated against these genocidal criminals who created a health crisis through lockdowns and then vaccines which have been proven to be ineffective and dangerous. Since this topic is complicated, evaluating this topic will likely be pushed back till next week. Back in 2017 and 2018, there were at least a dozen “liberal” leaning friends who showed incredulous behavior towards me when I expressed my doubt about Trump being a Russian agent. First of all, the narrative on the entire episode was a red flag from the beginning. You have to assume that Trump was this individual with genius intellect who put together this plan with the support of his buddy Vlad in Russia. Trump does not seem to have the capability of thinking five seconds ahead let alone planning to steal an election with foreign support months in advance. The whole thing seemed ridiculous from the Russian bots down to the “golden showers” being thrown at hookers in Russian hotels. This week, Matt Taibbi not only debunked this entire embarrassing history of media incompetence but showed that the whole episode was more complicated than anyone thought. For people who believed that proving Trump to be a Russian agent was an intelligence operation, you can pat yourself on the back. Part 1 is here. Part 2 is here. The Final Addendum is here. Hamilton 68 finally responded to his reporting in the final addendum. Taibbi discovered that Hamilton 68 was a “computerized dashboard” of fake news stories that was easily accessible to all the major media organizations. A short list includes ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, PBS, MSNBC, THE NEW YORK TIMES, THE WASHINGTON POST and websites like MOTHER JONES. Even fact checking sites SNOPES and POLITIFACT sited the stories as “truthful.” The stories that were created from this “dashboard” were also used in university research and government policy documents. Inside the Twitter Files, the company quickly came to realize that Hamilton 68 was a massive fraud. Because in their quest to prove the overwhelming number of “Russian” bots that existed online, the program seemed to arbitrarily pick random American citizens who opposed the narrative that the government had created. Many of the “Russian” bots were just average people with a Twitter account and an opinion. While Sputnik News and RT were included, an incredibly large majority of the “Russian” accounts were actually harmless. The geniuses behind this program are names that have haunted this country for decades (Neo-liberals and neo-conservatives alike). People like CIA Chief Michael Morell, Russian Ambassador and Intelligence Agent Michael McFaul, troublemaking government official John Podesta, and probably one of the worst people in the world, neo-conservative and WEEKLY STANDARD editor Bill Kristol. It is hard to believe that this is true. But this Hamilton 68 generated “fake news” story after “fake news” story which were quickly picked up by the mainstream media and dispersed worldwide. The entire operation was a gigantic con. As I have said multiple times on this blogs and have informed a few of my friends, “There is no better creator of “fake news” or “misinformation” in this country than our intelligence services and government.” Twitter understood the purpose of Hamilton 68 and actually opposed the actions of the government to defend the users under attack for false accusations. But like so many of these Twitter files have shown, they really did not force the government to change anything. Their behavior is kind of like bitching about the bully who continues to abuse you but doing nothing but whining about it to everyone you know. Like so many of these Twitter files, the company proved once again to be filled with weak-willed cowards. Since this blog is getting long, I want to point out another conspiracy that can not be disproven just by using basic common sense. 100 food processing plants have burned to the ground, half of them under suspicious circumstances, since the beginning of 2021. That data stops at the end of June 2022. Since then, there have been at least two dozen more including one in Connecticut this week that killed over 100,000 chickens. This segment two days ago by Tucker Carlson is incredible. He doesn’t have proof of any suspicious behavior (That is the scary thing about these fires). But he wants to let Americans know that these blazes are going to cause massive food shortages very soon. There are evil forces at work here and no one seems to understand what is occurring. Next week will be my conspiracy blog regarding COVID-19. I will also try to piece together what is going on inside the United States with our culture, politics, and economy. It is hard to ignore the fact that mysterious forces seem to be guiding us towards an unknown goal. What that is will be determined in time. Until then, have a good week! Last year during my playoff preview, I successfully predicted eight of the final 14 playoff teams. This season, I took a step back. Since I predicted seven of 14 (50%) playoff teams this year, my prognostication skills continue to be slightly better than a coin flip (If there were 16 playoff teams, than it would be just as accurate as “heads” or “tails”.) I was able to nail all six winners during Super Wild Card Weekend last year but missed on all the teams playing in the Conference Championship except for one (LA Rams). The LA Rams ended up winning Super Bowl LVI (My prediction was the Green Bay Packers) and sent me into a temporary state of delirium as I came around to enjoying the 2nd Super Bowl championship of my lifetime, the first in Los Angeles. With the LA Rams collapsing due to injury and becoming the inheritor of the worst NFL defending champion of all-time record (5-12), the playoff field changed significantly this year. There were a large number of surprises (the rise of the Eagles and the NFC East, the combined AFC and NFC South divisions only having one team with a winning record (Jacksonville 9-8), and the collapse of the Los Angeles Rams, the Arizona Cardinals, and the Green Bay Packers) and a few events that went according to plan (Buffalo and Miami’s records were exactly as predicted, San Francisco dominated the west, and the AFC West has two Super Bowl contenders). Now that the playoffs are here, I am giving you my uninformed picks on who will hold the Lombardi Trophy in February. In 2023, I am going with the teams that have the hot hand. And please, don’t bet on anything that I say.
AFC Wild Card Games #2 Buffalo over #7 Miami This game is not as clear cut of a victory for the Bills as many would perceive. With Tua Tagovailoa starting at QB, the Dolphins defeated the Bills and lost by 3 points in their other matchup. Plus, divisional games are always unpredictable. If Tua plays, expect the Dolphins to hang in there. If not, the Bills win going away. #3 Cincinnati over #6 Baltimore Cincinnati is red hot. Since losing and falling to 4-4, they have won 8 consecutive games. Baltimore’s defense has been the primary reason for their playoff appearance as they have had to win close games due to injuries to their star quarterback Lamar Jackson. With Jackson’s status unknown, the defense is going to be the primary reason that the Ravens advance. But since Cincinnati is playing well, I don’t think the Ravens can win this game unless Lamar Jackson goes “Super Saiyan.” This isn’t going to happen. #4 Jacksonville over #5 LA Chargers The Jaguars have won five straight to become the only team from either Southern division to post a winning record. This division title allows them to host the Chargers, a team that went 10-7 and lost to the Jaguars 38-10 earlier in the season. The betting money will likely lean heavily towards the Chargers due to their talent. But it feels like Jacksonville has turned the corner as a franchise as Trevor Lawrence has become a respectable quarterback and the defense continues to get better. I expect a close game that the Jaguars will win at the end. AFC Divisional Round #1 Kansas City over #4 Jacksonville This game feels like a potential upset. I will even say that the Jaguars could very well jump out to a 14-0 lead in the first half. But as he has done in multiple postseasons since 2018, Patrick Mahomes will figure out the Jaguars and win this game going away in the second half. #3 Cincinnati over #2 Buffalo This was the game that was canceled during the regular season due to Damar Hamlin’s tragic heart attack. Cincinnati had a 7-3 lead and was at midfield driving when the game was halted. Before the season, I would have said that Buffalo had the superior talent and would win this game easily. Now, I am reversing my prediction. Cincinnati will go into frigid Buffalo and pull off the upset of the postseason. Cincinnati felt jilted for how the NFL handled the postseason after the earlier game cancellation (Think about this. If Cincinnati had beaten Buffalo, they would have gotten the #2 seed over Buffalo). So this game will provide the revenge they have been seeking. AFC Championship #3 Cincinnati over #1 Kansas City In a repeat of the 2021 Season AFC Championship game which Cincinnati came back from a 21-3 deficit just before halftime to score 4 times and 21 points to take a 24-21 lead late. Kansas City tied the game to send it to OT where Mahomes threw an interception and Cincinnati drove 42 yards to win the game on a field goal. Expect another close game. But this time, Joe Burrow (Reinforcing his Joe Cool label) will outduel Mahomes and win this game late. This will give Cincinnati its 2nd consecutive AFC Championship and another appearance in the Super Bowl Now, lets move to the NFC. NFC Wild Card Games #2 San Francisco over #7 Seattle Seattle maybe the worst wild card team to make the playoffs in awhile (Comparable to the 8-8 Chicago Bears in 2020). The 49ers beat the Seahawks 48-20 in an easy season sweep in 2022. This game will likely be much worse. Of all the wild card games, this one could very well be over by halftime. 49ers roll. #3 Minnesota over #6 NY Giants If there is one upset to pick, this is the game. The Vikings beat the Giants earlier in the season on a 60+ yard field goal as time expired. Expect another close game. The Vikings are 11-0 in close games this year. They won 12 games total. So winning a close game has been in their nature all year. I expect the Giants to actually control this game. But I feel the Vikings good fortune (Clutch passes from Cousins, Justin Jefferson doing something amazing, a key turnover) will pull them through in the end. The Vikings’ season will continue for at least one more week. #5 Dallas over #4 Tampa Bay Dak Prescott has not been great this year. But the Dallas defense and the running game has been excellent. Tampa Bay is in decline and due to a couple of miracle comeback wins against Carolina, the LA Rams, and New Orleans, the Buccaneers are stumbling into the playoffs with a pathetic 8-9 record as NFC South champions. The Cowboys are the much better team. Even if they make a few mistakes, they should still win this game by multiple scores. Tom Brady’s season will end during wild card weekend this year. NFC Divisional Round #5 Dallas over #1 Philadelphia The Eagles have been the best team in the NFC all year. But for some reason, due to Jalen Hurts injury and a defense that has not been as effective at the end of the season, the Eagles look vulnerable. This week, the Cowboys will put it together and shock the Eagles and eliminate them from the playoffs. Dak will play his best playoff game to date and the duo of Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard will control the clock and the defense will do just enough to win this game. #2 San Francisco over #3 Minnesota Like the Seahawks game the week earlier, the 49ers should roll easily in this one. Minnesota’s losses have all been ugly this year. It will not surprise me if San Francisco leads by 4 scores at halftime and easily moves into the NFC title game. NFC Championship #2 San Francisco over #5 Dallas After playing well the previous two weeks, Dak Prescott will start having some of the problems he had during the regular season. This game could also spiral out of control badly very early. Whatever the case, the red-hot 49ers will roll into the Super Bowl hardly having been challenged during this postseason run. Super Bowl LVII Cincinnati Bengals wins their first Super Bowl over the San Francisco 49ers. They will become the 21st team (Out of 32) to win a Super Bowl championship. This game will probably be a tight defensive battle, but two things stand out to me. First, I believe Joe Burrow will figure out the 49ers defense in the 2nd half. Second, the 49ers were not really tested in tight games during the postseason. They are also starting a rookie QB Brock Purdy due to injuries to Trey Lance and Jimmy Garappolo during the regular season. The pressure will finally get to the kid as he delivers a bad pass into the hands of a Cincinnati defensive back during the last drive of the game which is runback for a touchdown in a 27-17 victory. This will also be revenge for Cincinnati’s two previous Super Bowl losses to the 49ers (Super Bowl XVI when San Francisco beat Cincinnati 26-21 and Super Bowl XXIII when “THE DRIVE” led to a 20-16 San Francisco win on a Joe Montana pass to John Taylor with 34 seconds left). Enjoy the postseason! Feel free to criticize me at will as my predictions begin to fall apart during Wild Card weekend! |
